Key Words: Who lies more? CNN’s Jim Acosta gets into another tussle with President Trump

Jim Acosta just logged some serious miles to tangle with Donald Trump.

CNN’s chief White House correspondent asked the president in New Delhi, India on Tuesday if he would pledge to reject foreign interference in the 2020 election.

But, as one might expect with these two, it quickly turned nasty.

‘Mr. President, I think our record on delivering the truth is a lot better than yours sometimes.’

That’s how Acosta responded to Trump’s claim that CNN has “the worst record in the history of broadcasting.”

Trump was pointing to a recent CNN report about Russian election interference that the network had to walk back.

“First of all, I want no help from any country, and I haven’t been given help from any country,” Trump replied. “And if you see what CNN, your wonderful network, said, I guess they apologized in a way for — didn’t they apologize for the fact that they said certain things that weren’t true? Tell me, what was their apology yesterday?”

Acosta, who once had his press pass pulled by the White House after another heated exchange back in 2018, didn’t back down.

“I’m not ashamed of anything and our organization is not ashamed,” he said.
