U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson doesn’t think much of French objections to the new partnership that saw Australia ditch an agreement to purchase submarines from France.

“What I want to say about that is I just think it’s time for some of our dearest friends around the world to ‘prenez un grip’ about all this and ‘donnez-moi un break’.”

Johnson was speaking to reporters in Washington, D.C., according to a U.K. media pool report.
