Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 2.23%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 2.23%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 4.96% or 1780 points to trade at 37660 at the close. Meanwhile, Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) added 4.05% or 231 points to end at 5930 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was up 3.91% or 80 points to 2125 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 3.75% or 870 points to trade at 22330 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 2.05% or 192 points to end at 9152 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 1.56% or 15 points to 970.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 421 to 92 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.56% or 15 to 970.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.54% or 2.17 to $87.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.25% or 1.96 to hit $89.14 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.23% or 22.85 to trade at $1829.65 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.11% to 3.1757, while EUR/ILS fell 0.04% to 3.5828.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 96.075.
