Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.65%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.65% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Nova (TASE:NVMI), which rose 4.28% or 1770 points to trade at 43150 at the close. Meanwhile, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) added 3.86% or 20.2 points to end at 543.0 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was up 3.81% or 110 points to 2998 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which fell 3.68% or 480 points to trade at 12560 at the close. Energix (TASE:ENRG) declined 2.09% or 28 points to end at 1310 and OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) was down 1.81% or 26 points to 1414.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 358 to 145 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 3.86% or 20.2 to 543.0. Shares in Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) rose to all time highs; up 3.81% or 110 to 2998.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.98% or 1.61 to $82.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.46% or 1.22 to hit $84.94 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 6.45 to trade at $1824.95 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.1077, while EUR/ILS rose 0.70% to 3.5542.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 95.005.
