Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.12%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.12%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.49% or 160.00 points to trade at 3,072.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 4.31% or 1,250.00 points to end at 30,280.00 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 3.45% or 1,040.00 points to 31,180.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 2.85% or 3,980.00 points to trade at 135,600.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 1.95% or 55.00 points to end at 2,759.00 and OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) was down 1.43% or 57.00 points to 3,943.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 298 to 199 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.95% or 55.00 to 2,759.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.46% or 2.53 to $75.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.51% or 2.74 to hit $80.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.49% or 26.75 to trade at $1,819.05 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.67% to 3.41, while EUR/ILS rose 0.16% to 3.62.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.10% at 103.61.
