France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.10%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.10%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 2.34% or 1.10 points to trade at 47.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Vivendi SA (EPA:VIV) added 1.40% or 0.11 points to end at 8.28 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was up 1.31% or 1.13 points to 87.33 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP), which fell 3.37% or 5.80 points to trade at 166.25 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) declined 1.59% or 10.30 points to end at 639.00 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 1.55% or 0.54 points to 33.95.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which rose 24.05% to 8.21, Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which was up 10.07% to settle at 9.56 and Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which gained 8.32% to close at 10.16.

The worst performers were Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) which was down 3.37% to 166.25 in late trade, Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which lost 3.02% to settle at 1.33 and Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which was down 2.13% to 22.02 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 294 to 240 and 103 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.38% or 6.25 to $1,638.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.57% or 2.26 to hit $85.64 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.02% or 1.89 to trade at $91.88 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.76% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.51% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.73% at 111.42.
