Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.66%, while the index lost 0.79%, and the index lost 0.67%.

The best performers of the session on the were Wirecard AG (DE:), which rose 1.13% or 1.200 points to trade at 107.500 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:) added 1.07% or 0.290 points to end at 27.350 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) was up 0.16% or 0.011 points to 6.917 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.70% or 4.40 points to trade at 254.60 at the close. Siemens AG Class N (DE:) declined 1.44% or 1.70 points to end at 116.54 and Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE:) was down 1.15% or 0.395 points to 34.010.

The top performers on the MDAX were Osram Licht AG (DE:) which rose 1.73% to 44.15, Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 1.36% to settle at 5.517 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:) which gained 0.57% to close at 52.600.

The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (DE:) which was down 2.79% to 29.280 in late trade, CTS Eventim AG (DE:) which lost 2.78% to settle at 56.050 and Dialog Semiconductor (DE:) which was down 2.42% to 45.110 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were New Work SE (DE:) which rose 3.18% to 292.00, Drillisch AG (DE:) which was up 2.05% to settle at 22.880 and RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which gained 1.71% to close at 22.600.

The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (DE:) which was down 2.79% to 29.280 in late trade, Dialog Semiconductor (DE:) which lost 2.42% to settle at 45.110 and TeamViewer AG (DE:) which was down 2.36% to 31.88 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 476 to 236 and 43 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 6.70% to 14.17.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.00% or 0.05 to $1518.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $61.62 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.39% or 0.26 to trade at $66.61 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1209, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.8544.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.360.
