France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.39%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.39%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.39%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which rose 2.72% or 0.63 points to trade at 23.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) added 2.14% or 4.15 points to end at 197.65 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 2.13% or 2.20 points to 105.54 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Safran SA (EPA:SAF), which fell 2.16% or 2.28 points to trade at 103.18 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) declined 1.29% or 1.16 points to end at 88.72 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was down 1.19% or 1.22 points to 101.18.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which rose 5.30% to 5.57, Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which was up 5.14% to settle at 172.95 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which gained 4.56% to close at 43.15.

The worst performers were SEB SA (EPA:SEBF) which was down 4.66% to 114.70 in late trade, ICADE (EPA:ICAD) which lost 2.81% to settle at 57.05 and Aeroports de Paris SA (EPA:ADP) which was down 2.69% to 135.55 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 298 to 244 and 96 ended unchanged.

Shares in SEB SA (EPA:SEBF) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.66% or 5.60 to 114.70.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.90% or 17.05 to $1,908.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.40% or 1.47 to hit $106.83 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.61% or 1.73 to trade at $108.99 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 103.14.
