Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.19%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.19% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 5.38% or 6.10 points to trade at 119.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 4.26% or 33.60 points to end at 821.80 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was up 4.14% or 22.20 points to 558.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb), which fell 1.54% or 31.00 points to trade at 1,984.00 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 0.97% or 175.00 points to end at 17,820.00 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 0.85% or 1.80 points to 208.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 74 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.26% or 33.60 to 821.80.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.45% or 1.40 to $94.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.79% or 1.81 to hit $99.26 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 8.40 to trade at $1,931.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was unchanged 0.02% to 6.82, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.69.
