Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.80%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.80%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which rose 4.49% or 18.20 points to trade at 423.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 3.38% or 3.45 points to end at 105.50 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 2.79% or 12.10 points to 446.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which fell 1.44% or 40.00 points to trade at 2,739.00 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 0.42% or 3.80 points to end at 904.00 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 0.38% or 0.90 points to 234.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 105 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged.

Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.49% or 18.20 to 423.90.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.95% or 1.69 to $88.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.01% or 1.87 to hit $94.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 14.30 to trade at $1,742.90 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.82% to 7.34, while EUR/DKK rose 0.08% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 107.95.
