Treasury yields broadly fell Wednesday morning after data showed the U.S. annual headline rate of inflation from the consumer pricing index dropped in April to its lowest level in two years. However, other parts of the CPI data showed a persistence in inflation that analysts said makes it more likely that policy makers will leave borrowing costs elevated for longer.
