Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is to announce “significant” iPad software changes next week, Bloomberg said Thursday.

According to the report, citing people with knowledge of the matter, Apple will announce the changes at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will begin on June 6.

The updates are said to be an attempt to make the iPad more like a laptop and less like a phone, with a redesigned multitasking interface providing users with an easier way to switch between tasks and see what apps are open.

In addition, Bloomberg says it will let users resize app windows and provide a new way to handle multiple apps at once.

Apple’s iPad makes up around 9% of the company’s annual sales.

The iPad software upgrade will reportedly be one of the most significant changes announced at the conference, with the report stating Apple will also reveal software updates for the iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV.
