France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.66%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.66% to hit a new 1-month low, while the SBF 120 index added 0.61%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 2.97% or 1.00 points to trade at 34.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (PA:TEPRF) added 2.48% or 6.70 points to end at 277.00 and Societe Generale SA (PA:SOGN) was up 2.38% or 0.30 points to 12.71 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Safran SA (PA:SAF), which fell 1.87% or 1.66 points to trade at 87.00 at the close. Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR) declined 1.18% or 0.79 points to end at 65.99 and Total SA (PA:TOTF) was down 0.90% or 0.27 points to 29.68.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Maisons du Monde SAS (PA:MDM) which rose 8.23% to 14.60, Robertet (PA:ROBF) which was up 3.79% to settle at 1040.00 and Coface (PA:COFA) which gained 3.79% to close at 6.58.

The worst performers were Genfit (PA:GNFT) which was down 5.68% to 3.65 in late trade, Lagardere SCA (PA:LAGA) which lost 5.63% to settle at 24.16 and Metropole Television SA (PA:MMTP) which was down 5.37% to 10.22 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 303 to 274 and 92 ended unchanged.

Shares in Teleperformance SE (PA:TEPRF) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.48% or 6.70 to 277.00.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 3.49% to 22.70.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 4.20 to $1930.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.40% or 1.38 to hit $39.22 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.10% or 1.33 to trade at $41.52 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.1811, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.9042.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.078.
