Travelzoo (NASDAQ:TZOO) Chairman, Ralph Bartel, bought 3.41 million shares, or about $15 million worth, at $4.40. The purchase brings his stake to 7,906,603 shares. The stock rose some 11% for the holiday-shortened week.

CarMax (NYSE:KMX) CEO, William Nash, bought 8,220 shares on 12/30/22, or $500,000 worth, at $60.98. Shares of KMX lost ground last month on a big earnings and guidance miss, although they’ve since recovered and closed last week up around 6.6%.

Hirequest (NASDAQ:HQI) CEO, Richard Hermanns, bought 6,316 shares, or some $95,000 worth, from 12/29/22-12/30/22 at $14.8845-$15.1861. He owns 3,480,814 shares following the purchases. Shares gained some 7% last week.

Helbiz (NASDAQ:HLBZ) CEO, Salvatore Palella, bought 650,000 shares, or about $85,000 worth, on 01/03/23 at $0.13. That brings his total owned shares to 11,228,925. The stock, which surged on meme-stock hype in 2021 and 2022 before taking a long, tumultuous plunge into penny-stock territory more recently, rose some 3% to $0.1283 last week.

Comera Life Science (NASDAQ:CMRA) 10% owner, David Soane, bought 202,701 shares, or about $250,000 worth, on 01/04/23 at $1.23. Shares gained 17% to $1.51 last week.
