VICI will replace Cerner Corp. (NASDAQ:CERN) in the index prior to the open of trading on Wednesday, June 8.
Cerner is being acquired by S&P 500 constituent Oracle Corp. (NYSE:ORCL) in a deal expected to be completed soon, prompting the change.
VICI is a REIT that owns one of the largest portfolios of market-leading gaming, hospitality, and entertainment destinations, including Caesars Palace Las Vegas, MGM Grand, and the Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
