Steve Jobs has been gone for a decade now, but he certainly hasn’t been forgotten.

co-founder died Oct. 5, 2011 following a long, public battle with pancreatic cancer. And tributes honoring the tech pioneer’s big ideas and showmanship came pouring in from around the web on Tuesday to mark the 10-year anniversary of his passing.

Apple took over its homepage with a roughly three-minute video celebrating Jobs’ life, which featured archival photos and clips that highlighted his vision. Apple also posted a statement from Jobs’ family, who wrote, “our gratitude has become as great as our loss.”
“For all of Steve’s gifts, it was his power as a teacher that has endured,” the statement continued. “He taught us to be open to the beauty of the world, to be curious around new ideas, to see around the next corner, and most of all to stay humble in our own beginner’s mind.” His daughter, Eve Jobs, also shared the statement to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.

Apple’s former chief design officer, Jony Ive, who delivered Job’s eulogy a decade ago, published a letter remembering his late friend in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.
“I think about Steve every day,” he wrote, reflecting on Jobs’ “insatiable curiosity” and how the two of them talked all the time. “I loved how he saw the world. The way he thought was profoundly beautiful.”
Business leaders, tech writers and consumers shared some of Jobs’ most iconic quotes and interview clips on social media sites like Twitter and Instagram.
