Tesla Launches New Shareholder Platform

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) announced today, via Twitter, that the company has launched its new shareholder platform. The platform is designed to manage the electric vehicle company’s large investor base, allowing shareholders to easily participate in shareholder events, as well as ask questions.

This new platform is on par with CEO Elon Musk’s previously voiced frustrations surrounding the more traditional Wall Street approaches, pushing for more interaction with retail investors.

Tesla previously started to implement an investor platform called “Say.” However, the new platform looks to be using Say and Plaid as a supplement.

Tesla shareholders can sign up by proving ownership with their brokers through Say and Plaid. If you would rather not link to your broker account, or can’t, the new platform allows shareholders to verify with a manual statement that will be verified within 48hrs.

For now, Tesla only lists that the platform will offer participation in events as well as voting and submitting questions for earnings calls. These services were already offered directly through Tesla’s IR website and the Say platform, but more is apparently coming.
