Saudi Arabia stocks higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.26%

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.26% to hit a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (SE:2082), which rose 9.96% or 9.40 points to trade at 103.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co (SE:1111) added 7.69% or 10.80 points to end at 151.20 and Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE:2180) was up 4.50% or 2.50 points to 58.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210), which fell 2.55% or 6.00 points to trade at 229.00 at the close. Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE:4002) declined 2.35% or 4.60 points to end at 191.20 and Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) was down 1.80% or 0.44 points to 24.06.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 136 to 77 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (SE:2082) rose to all time highs; rising 9.96% or 9.40 to 103.80. Shares in Saudi Tadawul Group Holding Co (SE:1111) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.69% or 10.80 to 151.20.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.63% or 2.16 to $84.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.24% or 1.89 to hit $86.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 4.05 to trade at $1817.35 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.33% to 4.2839, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7537.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 95.148.
