Robinhood COO to retire at end of year

Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD) announced Thursday that the company’s COO, Gretchen Howard is stepping down from her position.

According to the company’s 8-K filing, Howard informed management of her desire to retire from the company at the end of 2023. Ms. Howard will transition to an advisory role on April 3, 2023 to support certain special projects for the CEO and will remain employed with the Company until January 1, 2024. A letter of agreement has been signed to reflect the transition.

Before her stint at Robinhood, Howard was a partner with CapitalG, Alphabet Inc.’s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) venture capital arm. Prior to that, she was also a vice president at Fidelity Investments.

Shares of HOOD are down 0.38% in pre-market trading on Thursday.
