Morgan Stanley announced earnings per share of $1.44 on revenue of $13.13B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.57 on revenue of $13.39B.

Morgan Stanley shares are down 23% from the beginning of the year, still down 31.67% from its 52 week high of $109.73 set on February 10. They are under-performing the S&P Global 100 which is down 17.76% from the start of the year.

Morgan Stanley shares lost 3.33% in pre-market trade following the report.

Morgan Stanley’s report follows an earnings missed by JPMorgan on Thursday, who reported EPS of $2.76 on revenue of $30.72B, compared to forecasts EPS of $2.94 on revenue of $31.82B.

DNB Bank ASA had beat expectations on Tuesday with second quarter EPS of $0.4773 on revenue of $1.6B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.4412 on revenue of $1.59B.
