The company’s $249,000 Lucid Air Sapphire could be considered the world’s first fully electric luxury super-sports sedan. Boasting some serious performance with a 0-60mph time of 1.89 seconds. Beating out Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s Model S Plaid, which has a 0-60 mph time of 1.99 seconds in optimum conditions.

The Air Sapphire presents an impressive combination of power and efficiency, featuring 1,234 horsepower, 1,430 pound-feet of torque, and an EPA-estimated driving range of 427 miles per charge. This blend of exceptional power and efficiency is highlighted by its noteworthy 3.61 miles per kilowatt-hour (mi/kWh) efficiency rating, a remarkable achievement considering the vehicle’s substantial size and weight.

The flagship vehicle also boasts several exterior and interior enhancements that set it apart from the standard Lucid Air sedans. These enhancements include an exterior optimized for optimal downforce and high-speed efficiency, complemented by a unique Sapphire Blue exterior paint. Additionally, the car features Aero Sapphire wheels outfitted with specially crafted Michelin (EPA:MICP) Pilot Sport 4S tires.

“The Lucid Air Sapphire stands as a remarkable brand halo for Lucid, representing a fantastic example of what our team can accomplish when we combine technology, design, and performance into an unparalleled package,” wrote Lucid SVP of design, Derek Jenkins.

The design of the Lucid Air Sapphire showcases our commitment to automotive aesthetics while delivering a driving experience like no other. It is a testament to our dedication to crafting vehicles that not only perform exceptionally and are exhilarating to drive, but also inspire awe at first sight.”

The Lucid Air Sapphire is expected to enter production in September, with deliveries following soon after.
