Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 3.54%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 3.54% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which rose 0.74% or 25 points to trade at 3399 at the close. Meanwhile, Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) fell 1.13% or 31 points to end at 2715 and Harel (TASE:HARL) was down 1.47% or 55 points to 3696 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 11.36% or 137 points to trade at 1069 at the close. Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) declined 7.05% or 10390 points to end at 137000 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 6.06% or 195 points to 3023.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 493 to 28 and 11 ended unchanged.

Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 52-week lows; down 11.36% or 137 to 1069.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.14% or 2.67 to $82.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.78% or 2.42 to hit $84.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 4.05 to trade at $1835.85 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.30% to 3.1844, while EUR/ILS rose 1.15% to 3.6058.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 95.980.
