Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.92%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.92% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp), which rose 1.84% or 15.00 points to trade at 830.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 1.45% or 950.00 points to end at 66,540.00 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) was up 1.33% or 520.00 points to 39,600.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which fell 5.95% or 2,020.00 points to trade at 31,930.00 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 5.73% or 33.60 points to end at 553.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was down 4.28% or 570.00 points to 12,740.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 327 to 150 and 39 ended unchanged.

Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.73% or 33.60 to 553.00.

Crude oil for December delivery was down 4.84% or 4.14 to $81.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.53% or 3.28 to hit $89.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.85% or 15.15 to trade at $1,760.65 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.37% to 3.47, while EUR/ILS rose 0.85% to 3.59.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 106.82.
