Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 1.31%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 1.31%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ), which rose 3.63% or 19.8 points to trade at 564.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) added 2.32% or 227 points to end at 10020 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 1.13% or 270 points to 24070 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT), which fell 3.92% or 89 points to trade at 2181 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) declined 2.82% or 1260 points to end at 43490 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was down 2.80% or 350 points to 12150.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 351 to 130 and 37 ended unchanged.

Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) rose to 3-years highs; up 3.63% or 19.8 to 564.8. Shares in Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.32% or 227 to 10020.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.18% or 0.98 to $84.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.54% or 0.47 to hit $86.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.80 to trade at $1813.70 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.79% to 3.1325, while EUR/ILS rose 0.11% to 3.5489.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 95.745.
