Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.96%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.96% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN), which rose 2.73% or 31.00 points to trade at 1,165.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) added 2.15% or 4,000.00 points to end at 189,990.00 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:ALHE) was up 2.08% or 77.00 points to 3,782.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 5.71% or 7,550.00 points to trade at 124,650.00 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) declined 4.35% or 1,320.00 points to end at 29,020.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was down 4.31% or 115.00 points to 2,554.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 358 to 134 and 22 ended unchanged.

Shares in Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.71% or 7,550.00 to 124,650.00. Shares in ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.31% or 115.00 to 2,554.00.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.62% or 0.48 to $76.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.85% or 0.70 to hit $82.00 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.61% or 29.20 to trade at $1,789.50 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.53% to 3.45, while EUR/ILS rose 0.84% to 3.66.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.88% at 104.33.
