Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.76%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.76%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 1.68% or 46 points to trade at 2792 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) added 1.48% or 700 points to end at 47900 and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) was up 0.94% or 450 points to 48550 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which fell 3.96% or 8710 points to trade at 211500 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) declined 2.89% or 1210 points to end at 40600 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was down 2.61% or 205 points to 7644.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 326 to 153 and 38 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.98% or 1.52 to $78.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.61% or 2.08 to hit $81.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.27% or 22.95 to trade at $1783.35 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.61% to 3.1362, while EUR/ILS rose 1.90% to 3.5336.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.403.
