Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.21%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.21%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 3.02% or 83 points to trade at 2830 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 1.60% or 22 points to end at 1397 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was up 1.40% or 47 points to 3406 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG), which fell 3.18% or 281 points to trade at 8550 at the close. Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) declined 2.64% or 790 points to end at 29130 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TASE:BEZQ) was down 2.60% or 13.6 points to 508.7.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 362 to 129 and 37 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.77% or 0.61 to $78.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.87% or 0.71 to hit $81.04 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.95 to trade at $1794.45 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 1.11% to 3.1393, while EUR/ILS rose 0.86% to 3.5573.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 95.940.
