Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.38%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.38%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TASE:HARL), which rose 5.41% or 180 points to trade at 3508 at the close. Meanwhile, Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) added 4.99% or 329 points to end at 6922 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) was up 4.32% or 480 points to 11600 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which fell 2.97% or 38 points to trade at 1243 at the close. Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) declined 1.61% or 200 points to end at 12240 and Maytronics (TASE:MTRN) was down 1.04% or 83 points to 7917.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 338 to 161 and 31 ended unchanged.

Shares in Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.99% or 329 to 6922. Shares in Liveperson (TASE:LPSN) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.61% or 200 to 12240. Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.32% or 480 to 11600.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.11% or 2.06 to $68.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.24% or 2.24 to hit $71.47 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 11.20 to trade at $1787.70 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.1539, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 3.5733.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 95.895.
