Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.25%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.25%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which rose 4.98% or 570 points to trade at 12010 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) added 4.61% or 55 points to end at 1249 and Nova (TASE:NVMI) was up 3.93% or 1560 points to 41210 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nice Ltd (TASE:NICE), which fell 2.86% or 2700 points to trade at 91810 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 2.22% or 1220 points to end at 53780 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was down 1.03% or 250 points to 24100.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 388 to 125 and 18 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.34% or 1.66 to $72.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.83% or 1.35 to hit $75.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.92% or 33.85 to trade at $1798.35 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.51% to 3.1022, while EUR/ILS fell 0.36% to 3.5059.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 96.075.
