Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 1.16%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.16%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 5.24% or 141.00 points to trade at 2,831.00 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 3.13% or 100.00 points to end at 3,300.00 and Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) was up 2.90% or 2,070.00 points to 73,390.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT), which fell 2.94% or 184.00 points to trade at 6,075.00 at the close. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TASE:KEN) declined 2.49% or 370.00 points to end at 14,490.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 2.37% or 87.00 points to 3,583.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 293 to 173 and 48 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.16% or 2.37 to $111.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.68% or 2.97 to hit $113.95 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 2.10 to trade at $1,822.70 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.61% to 3.44, while EUR/ILS rose 0.27% to 3.62.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 104.11.
