Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.97%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.97%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which rose 6.02% or 680 points to trade at 11970 at the close. Meanwhile, ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 4.18% or 115 points to end at 2867 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was up 3.88% or 4730 points to 126580 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Energix (TASE:ENRG), which fell 2.66% or 35 points to trade at 1280 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) declined 2.16% or 850 points to end at 38590 and Mivne Real Estate KD Ltd (TASE:MVNE) was down 1.27% or 16 points to 1240.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 263 to 243 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.05% or 2.02 to $68.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.82% or 1.97 to hit $71.85 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.10 to trade at $1782.80 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.1648, while EUR/ILS fell 0.17% to 3.5694.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 96.317.
