Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.19%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.19% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK), which rose 3.02% or 16.00 points to trade at 546.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Harel (TASE:HARL) added 2.72% or 89.00 points to end at 3,361.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 1.82% or 49.00 points to 2,739.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Melisron (TASE:MLSR), which fell 1.87% or 470.00 points to trade at 24,680.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 1.83% or 50.00 points to end at 2,677.00 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TASE:MZTF) was down 1.69% or 200.00 points to 11,630.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 264 to 215 and 33 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.21% or 0.17 to $80.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.27% or 1.07 to hit $85.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 12.00 to trade at $1,909.70 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was unchanged 0.09% to 3.40, while EUR/ILS fell 0.41% to 3.67.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 102.23.
