Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.01%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.01%, while the MDAX index fell 0.88%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG), which rose 7.32% or 2.72 points to trade at 39.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) added 1.73% or 2.38 points to end at 139.80 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) was up 1.58% or 1.52 points to 97.98 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG), which fell 4.37% or 1.26 points to trade at 27.59 at the close. Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn) declined 2.78% or 4.70 points to end at 164.60 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was down 1.56% or 0.61 points to 38.50.

The top performers on the MDAX were Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:WCHG) which rose 5.65% to 154.25, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was up 2.26% to settle at 52.44 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which gained 1.60% to close at 15.85.

The worst performers were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) which was down 5.21% to 10.65 in late trade, Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which lost 4.66% to settle at 48.48 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which was down 4.08% to 246.70 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which rose 2.26% to 52.44, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was up 1.60% to settle at 15.85 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) which gained 0.93% to close at 21.10.

The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 6.56% to 108.20 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which lost 2.17% to settle at 17.36 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 1.43% to 14.11 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 429 to 245 and 87 ended unchanged.

Shares in Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) rose to all time highs; rising 0.93% or 0.19 to 21.10.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.10% to 20.11.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.05% or 0.95 to $1,841.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.99% or 2.28 to hit $74.08 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.73% or 2.27 to trade at $80.78 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.24.
