Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.18%, while the index declined 0.19%, and the index gained 0.15%.

The best performers of the session on the were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 2.14% or 5.80 points to trade at 277.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Wirecard AG (DE:) added 1.93% or 2.300 points to end at 121.200 and E.ON SE NA (DE:) was up 1.80% or 0.176 points to 9.932 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 2.51% or 1.215 points to trade at 47.240 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) declined 2.36% or 0.183 points to end at 7.570 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:) was down 1.51% or 1.110 points to 72.190.

The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:) which rose 4.29% to 71.00, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which was up 3.89% to settle at 31.80 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.70% to close at 213.200.

The worst performers were Aareal Bank AG (DE:) which was down 4.56% to 29.490 in late trade, Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:) which lost 3.94% to settle at 5.459 and Duerr AG (DE:) which was down 2.93% to 29.490 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:) which rose 3.89% to 31.80, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.70% to settle at 213.200 and Bechtle AG (DE:) which gained 2.10% to close at 131.200.

The worst performers were Jenoptik AG (DE:) which was down 2.91% to 24.060 in late trade, Drillisch AG (DE:) which lost 2.84% to settle at 22.620 and Freenet AG NA (DE:) which was down 2.79% to 20.550 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 354 to 305 and 90 ended unchanged.

Shares in MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.14% or 5.80 to 277.20. Shares in Delivery Hero AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 4.29% or 2.92 to 71.00. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.70% or 5.600 to 213.200. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.70% or 5.600 to 213.200. Shares in Bechtle AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.10% or 2.700 to 131.200.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.42% to 13.20.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.66% or 10.25 to $1554.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.43% or 0.25 to hit $57.98 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.35 to trade at $64.14 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.1159, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8560.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.905.
