Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.18%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.18%, while the MDAX index declined 0.39%, and the TecDAX index added 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG), which rose 3.79% or 2.42 points to trade at 66.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Covestro AG (DE:1COV) added 2.78% or 1.560 points to end at 57.640 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:SATG_p) was up 1.55% or 8.600 points to 562.200 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG), which fell 3.23% or 3.59 points to trade at 107.45 at the close. Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:HEIG) declined 2.05% or 1.340 points to end at 64.140 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn) was down 2.02% or 3.85 points to 186.60.

The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG) which rose 5.87% to 10.820, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which was up 5.03% to settle at 42.420 and Varta AG (DE:VAR1) which gained 2.73% to close at 116.550.

The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 6.19% to 12.74 in late trade, AUTO1 Group SE (DE:AG1G) which lost 2.99% to settle at 32.40 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG) which was down 2.96% to 6.186 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which rose 5.03% to 42.420, Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG) which was up 3.79% to settle at 66.20 and Varta AG (DE:VAR1) which gained 2.73% to close at 116.550.

The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 6.19% to 12.74 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which lost 3.13% to settle at 15.170 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:NEKG) which was down 2.69% to 110.200 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 506 to 216 and 51 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.36% or 6.65 to $1863.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.58% or 0.45 to hit $78.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.57% or 0.46 to trade at $80.74 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1370, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.8425.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.558.
