Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.10%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.10%, while the MDAX index added 0.11%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.11%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Merck KGaA (DE:MRCG), which rose 2.08% or 3.75 points to trade at 184.25 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:RWEG) added 1.85% or 0.565 points to end at 31.085 and Siemens Energy AG (DE:ENR1n) was up 1.23% or 0.29 points to 23.93 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which fell 3.20% or 4.20 points to trade at 126.95 at the close. Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:HEIG) declined 2.93% or 2.220 points to end at 73.500 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn) was down 2.89% or 6.10 points to 204.95.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (DE:HLE) which rose 11.21% to 67.24, Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which was up 5.49% to settle at 23.730 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which gained 3.83% to close at 46.335.

The worst performers were Rational AG (DE:RAAG) which was down 3.08% to 924.60 in late trade, Duerr AG (DE:DUEG) which lost 3.04% to settle at 41.480 and Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:PSMGn) which was down 1.95% to 15.5850 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which rose 5.49% to 23.730, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was up 3.83% to settle at 46.335 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which gained 3.65% to close at 17.050.

The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:EUZG) which was down 2.10% to 121.000 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:SANT1) which lost 1.97% to settle at 19.94 and 11 AG (DE:1U1) which was down 1.24% to 25.500 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 387 to 296 and 73 ended unchanged.

Shares in Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (DE:HLE) rose to all time highs; up 11.21% or 6.78 to 67.24. Shares in Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) rose to 5-year highs; up 5.49% or 1.235 to 23.730. Shares in Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.49% or 1.235 to 23.730.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.10% to 17.24.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.02% or 35.70 to $1727.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.33% or 1.59 to hit $66.69 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.16% or 1.53 to trade at $69.17 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1743, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8479.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 92.938.
