Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.08%, while the index gained 0.95%, and the index added 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.54% or 1.600 points to trade at 105.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (DE:) added 1.47% or 0.69 points to end at 47.75 and Adidas AG (DE:) was up 1.31% or 3.60 points to 278.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.12% or 0.075 points to trade at 6.598 at the close. BASF SE NA O.N. (DE:) declined 1.09% or 0.760 points to end at 69.190 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:) was down 1.07% or 1.32 points to 122.40.

The top performers on the MDAX were Bechtle AG (DE:) which rose 2.47% to 120.400, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.33% to settle at 193.100 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.32% to close at 11.665.

The worst performers were Leoni AG (DE:) which was down 2.30% to 11.900 in late trade, K+S AG NA O.N. (DE:) which lost 1.65% to settle at 10.405 and Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 1.54% to 24.320 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Isra Vision O.N. (DE:) which rose 4.55% to 39.50, Bechtle AG (DE:) which was up 2.47% to settle at 120.400 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.33% to close at 193.100.

The worst performers were Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 1.54% to 24.320 in late trade, Aixtron SE NA O.N. (DE:) which lost 1.12% to settle at 8.3160 and Jenoptik AG (DE:) which was down 1.10% to 26.900 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 364 to 318 and 73 ended unchanged.

Shares in Bechtle AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 2.47% or 2.900 to 120.400. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to 3-years highs; up 2.33% or 4.400 to 193.100. Shares in K+S AG NA O.N. (DE:) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.65% or 0.175 to 10.405. Shares in Bechtle AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.47% or 2.900 to 120.400. Shares in Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.33% or 4.400 to 193.100.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.62% to 13.58.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.20% or 2.95 to $1466.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.11 to hit $58.12 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.22 to trade at $62.84 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.1019, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8569.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 98.215.
