At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.03%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.14%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:FMEG), which rose 1.90% or 1.140 points to trade at 61.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) added 1.50% or 0.132 points to end at 8.945 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) was up 1.27% or 0.447 points to 35.572 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:VOWG_p), which fell 2.04% or 3.36 points to trade at 161.16 at the close. Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) declined 0.98% or 1.22 points to end at 122.78 and SAP SE (DE:SAPG) was down 0.85% or 0.930 points to 108.420.
The top performers on the MDAX were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:PSMGn) which rose 7.04% to 17.7150, CTS Eventim AG (DE:EVDG) which was up 4.07% to settle at 54.950 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which gained 3.74% to close at 36.590.
The worst performers were Wacker Chemie O.N. (DE:WCHG) which was down 3.45% to 116.58 in late trade, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COP1n) which lost 2.32% to settle at 80.000 and Fraport AG (DE:FRAG) which was down 2.27% to 45.450 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which rose 3.74% to 36.590, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which was up 3.42% to settle at 25.400 and Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which gained 1.52% to close at 17.543.
The worst performers were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COP1n) which was down 2.32% to 80.000 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:NEKG) which lost 1.61% to settle at 58.000 and Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which was down 1.31% to 28.660 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 369 to 300 and 34 ended unchanged.
Shares in Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) rose to all time highs; rising 1.27% or 0.447 to 35.572. Shares in Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:PSMGn) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.04% or 1.1650 to 17.7150. Shares in Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.52% or 0.263 to 17.543.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.18% to 22.19.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.09% or 1.65 to $1828.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.89% or 0.52 to hit $58.76 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.08% or 0.66 to trade at $61.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.2126, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 90.412.
