Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.02%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.02%, while the MDAX index gained 0.04%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.40%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG), which rose 3.10% or 3.17 points to trade at 105.41 at the close. Meanwhile, Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER) added 2.57% or 2.75 points to end at 109.70 and Siemens Energy AG (DE:ENR1n) was up 2.25% or 0.54 points to 24.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:FREG), which fell 3.77% or 1.480 points to trade at 37.805 at the close. Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:FMEG) declined 3.71% or 2.250 points to end at 58.370 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) was down 2.89% or 1.235 points to 41.570.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:BOSSn) which rose 3.01% to 57.480, AUTO1 Group SE (DE:AG1G) which was up 2.50% to settle at 32.80 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which gained 1.95% to close at 41.910.

The worst performers were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:PSMGn) which was down 2.00% to 14.6800 in late trade, Aurubis AG (DE:NAFG) which lost 1.84% to settle at 76.700 and Lanxess AG (DE:LXSG) which was down 1.75% to 54.850 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which rose 1.95% to 41.910, Varta AG (DE:VAR1) which was up 1.58% to settle at 115.700 and Vantage Towers AG (DE:VTWRn) which gained 1.29% to close at 29.85.

The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (DE:EUZG) which was down 6.72% to 113.900 in late trade, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) which lost 2.89% to settle at 41.570 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 1.49% to 39.370 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 356 to 318 and 41 ended unchanged.

Shares in Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:BOSSn) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.01% or 1.680 to 57.480.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.87% to 17.18.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 2.15 to $1825.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.17% or 0.96 to hit $82.89 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.62% or 0.52 to trade at $83.95 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1574, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8556.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.142.
