Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.49%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.49%, while the index fell 0.37%, and the index declined 0.93%.

The best performers of the session on the were Wirecard AG (DE:), which rose 1.29% or 1.350 points to trade at 106.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayer AG NA (DE:) added 1.11% or 0.78 points to end at 70.84 and Adidas AG (DE:) was up 0.96% or 2.75 points to 289.65 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Continental AG O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.85% or 2.24 points to trade at 118.62 at the close. Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:) declined 1.45% or 0.740 points to end at 50.310 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) was down 1.35% or 0.280 points to 20.440.

The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:) which rose 2.31% to 66.50, Dialog Semiconductor (DE:) which was up 1.30% to settle at 46.040 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (DE:) which gained 1.21% to close at 90.600.

The worst performers were Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (DE:) which was down 25.11% to 19.740 in late trade, Kion Group AG (DE:) which lost 4.09% to settle at 62.78 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 3.10% to 124.9000 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:) which rose 2.75% to 33.660, Isra Vision O.N. (DE:) which was up 1.77% to settle at 39.06 and S&T AG (DE:) which gained 1.44% to close at 21.14.

The worst performers were RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which was down 6.55% to 20.560 in late trade, Medigene NA O.N. (DE:) which lost 3.71% to settle at 4.104 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 3.10% to 124.900 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 394 to 283 and 78 ended unchanged.

Shares in Delivery Hero AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.31% or 1.50 to 66.50. Shares in Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (DE:) rose to all time highs; rising 1.21% or 1.080 to 90.600. Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.75% or 0.900 to 33.660.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.06% to 13.13.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.15% or 2.15 to $1478.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.33% or 0.20 to hit $61.07 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.23 to trade at $66.33 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1115, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8498.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 96.975.
