Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.16%, while the index fell 0.69%, and the index lost 0.36%.

The best performers of the session on the were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.86% or 0.930 points to trade at 51.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 0.55% or 0.036 points to end at 6.635 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:) was up 0.48% or 0.84 points to 176.34 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 2.42% or 5.90 points to trade at 237.70 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) declined 1.40% or 0.268 points to end at 18.876 and Covestro AG (DE:) was down 1.09% or 0.470 points to 42.840.

The top performers on the MDAX were CTS Eventim AG (DE:) which rose 2.03% to 55.250, Uniper SE (DE:) which was up 1.92% to settle at 29.680 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 1.46% to close at 5.158.

The worst performers were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 13.36% to 11.705 in late trade, Aurubis AG (DE:) which lost 5.22% to settle at 46.160 and Leoni AG (DE:) which was down 3.99% to 11.790 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SLM Solutions Group AG (DE:) which rose 2.88% to 14.30, Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:) which was up 1.15% to settle at 57.000 and RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which gained 1.08% to close at 24.340.

The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.66% to 12.070 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:) which lost 2.21% to settle at 31.040 and Isra Vision O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.89% to 43.72 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 413 to 254 and 95 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.73% to 14.72.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.59% or 8.75 to $1465.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.37% or 1.35 to hit $58.36 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.13% or 1.33 to trade at $63.73 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.1060, while EUR/GBP rose 0.09% to 0.8573.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.895.
