Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.01%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.01%, while the MDAX index fell 0.22%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.65%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which rose 1.96% or 5.20 points to trade at 270.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN) added 1.45% or 0.75 points to end at 52.37 and Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn) was up 1.16% or 0.78 points to 68.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which fell 6.14% or 0.95 points to trade at 14.60 at the close. Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) declined 3.56% or 0.38 points to end at 10.30 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) was down 2.94% or 10.70 points to 353.30.

The top performers on the MDAX were Scout24 AG (ETR:G24n) which rose 5.35% to 61.00, CTS Eventim AG (ETR:EVDG) which was up 5.26% to settle at 62.05 and Stroeer SE (ETR:SAXG) which gained 2.46% to close at 44.96.

The worst performers were Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) which was down 9.47% to 76.48 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which lost 3.65% to settle at 110.80 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:O2Dn) which was down 2.58% to 1.83 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) which rose 1.51% to 21.54, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 1.38% to settle at 30.90 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which gained 1.23% to close at 46.20.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 19.48% to 6.52 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which lost 3.36% to settle at 27.03 and Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was down 3.28% to 85.55 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 404 to 263 and 79 ended unchanged.

Shares in Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:O2Dn) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.58% or 0.05 to 1.83. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) fell to all time lows; falling 19.48% or 1.58 to 6.52.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.67% to 18.00.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 6.85 to $1,969.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.72% or 0.60 to hit $82.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.73% or 0.63 to trade at $85.61 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 101.93.
