Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 1.43%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 1.43%, while the MDAX index gained 2.29%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.87%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG), which rose 4.51% or 1.14 points to trade at 26.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG) added 3.92% or 0.96 points to end at 25.44 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) was up 3.86% or 0.73 points to 19.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p), which fell 1.27% or 0.86 points to trade at 66.84 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) declined 0.27% or 0.70 points to end at 255.80 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) was down 0.20% or 0.19 points to 96.07.

The top performers on the MDAX were Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) which rose 12.26% to 5.16, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was up 6.14% to settle at 49.08 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) which gained 4.80% to close at 53.45.

The worst performers were Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which was down 4.77% to 34.15 in late trade, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which gained 0.10% to settle at 154.35 and Deutsche Wohnen AG (ETR:DWNG) which was up 0.23% to 22.26 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 8.04% to 18.48, Suse SA (ETR:SUSEG) which was up 4.91% to settle at 20.52 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:JENGn) which gained 4.71% to close at 22.68.

The worst performers were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 2.30% to 21.20 in late trade, Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) which gained 0.06% to settle at 46.42 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was up 0.77% to 49.86 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 501 to 174 and 80 ended unchanged.

Shares in Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) rose to all time highs; rising 3.86% or 0.73 to 19.55. Shares in Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.77% or 1.71 to 34.15.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.98% to 26.06.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.60% or 10.30 to $1,730.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.89% or 3.25 to hit $86.79 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.83% or 3.41 to trade at $92.56 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 108.93.
