Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.03%, while the index gained 1.04%, and the index gained 1.61%.

The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 5.93% or 0.410 points to trade at 7.327 at the close. Meanwhile, Wirecard AG (DE:) added 4.56% or 4.900 points to end at 112.400 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:) was up 2.42% or 4.26 points to 180.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.43% or 0.390 points to trade at 26.960 at the close. Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:) declined 1.13% or 1.04 points to end at 91.16 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:) was down 0.94% or 1.000 points to 105.650.

The top performers on the MDAX were Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:) which rose 7.03% to 5.905, Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 4.34% to settle at 61.350 and Dialog Semiconductor (DE:) which gained 4.06% to close at 46.940.

The worst performers were Metro Wholesale & Food Specialist AG (DE:) which was down 1.95% to 14.0700 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which lost 1.73% to settle at 31.33 and Puma SE (DE:) which was down 1.68% to 67.20 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:) which rose 4.64% to 8.924, Wirecard AG (DE:) which was up 4.56% to settle at 112.400 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 4.34% to close at 61.350.

The worst performers were RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which was down 2.30% to 22.080 in late trade, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which lost 1.73% to settle at 31.33 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which was down 0.68% to 42.53 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 526 to 184 and 42 ended unchanged.

Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.34% or 2.550 to 61.350. Shares in Dialog Semiconductor (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.06% or 1.830 to 46.940. Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.34% or 2.550 to 61.350.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.03% to 13.74.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.30% or 4.55 to $1527.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.36% or 0.22 to hit $60.84 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $65.94 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP rose 0.57% to 0.8505.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 96.545.
