Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.86%, while the index gained 0.71%, and the index added 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 4.04% or 0.778 points to trade at 20.040 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:) added 1.99% or 0.510 points to end at 26.190 and Linde PLC (DE:) was up 1.62% or 2.950 points to 185.550 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:), which fell 1.64% or 1.080 points to trade at 64.680 at the close. Wirecard AG (DE:) declined 1.50% or 1.750 points to end at 115.150 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:) was down 0.85% or 0.425 points to 49.420.
The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (DE:) which rose 4.49% to 62.40, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (DE:) which was up 4.19% to settle at 23.400 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.59% to close at 55.550.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which was down 6.36% to 103.100 in late trade, Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which lost 1.91% to settle at 42.95 and Zalando SE (DE:) which was down 1.10% to 41.47 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) which rose 4.04% to 20.040, Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.59% to settle at 55.550 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.41% to close at 118.900.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which was down 6.36% to 103.100 in late trade, Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which lost 1.91% to settle at 42.95 and Medigene NA O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.79% to 5.500 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 490 to 176 and 87 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kion Group AG (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.49% or 2.68 to 62.40. Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.41% or 2.800 to 118.900.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.14% or 16.95 to $1466.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.06% or 0.62 to hit $59.05 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.36% or 0.86 to trade at $64.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1054, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.690.
