Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.52%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.52%, while the MDAX index gained 0.75%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.34%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG), which rose 4.95% or 1.52 points to trade at 32.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN) added 2.79% or 1.61 points to end at 59.40 and Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) was up 2.53% or 1.10 points to 44.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG), which fell 1.63% or 0.61 points to trade at 36.81 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) declined 1.45% or 0.46 points to end at 31.24 and Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) was down 1.41% or 0.94 points to 65.94.

The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which rose 4.21% to 41.80, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which was up 4.07% to settle at 214.80 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 3.92% to close at 24.92.

The worst performers were CTS Eventim AG (ETR:EVDG) which was down 7.18% to 52.35 in late trade, Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) which lost 3.60% to settle at 17.16 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was down 2.20% to 38.72 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 7.63% to 20.24, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which was up 7.38% to settle at 46.26 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 3.92% to close at 24.92.

The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 1.76% to 10.60 in late trade, Kontron AG (ETR:KTN) which lost 1.52% to settle at 14.26 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was down 0.28% to 24.51 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 442 to 257 and 65 ended unchanged.

Shares in Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.60% or 0.64 to 17.16.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.24% to 26.61.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.21% or 3.85 to $1,826.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.24% or 2.41 to hit $110.03 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.14% or 2.33 to trade at $111.43 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 103.64.
