France stocks mixed at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.44%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.44%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Danone SA (EPA:DANO), which rose 0.68% or 0.36 points to trade at 53.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) added 0.60% or 0.07 points to end at 11.49 and Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) was up 0.53% or 0.86 points to 162.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA), which fell 2.48% or 1.08 points to trade at 42.51 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) declined 2.36% or 0.88 points to end at 36.38 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was down 1.82% or 9.10 points to 490.00.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 10.94% to 3.45, SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which was up 2.15% to settle at 28.93 and Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which gained 2.06% to close at 5.95.

The worst performers were Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which was down 4.71% to 170.05 in late trade, Derichebourg (EPA:DBG) which lost 3.07% to settle at 4.90 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was down 2.76% to 28.14 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 310 to 208 and 101 ended unchanged.

Shares in SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.15% or 0.61 to 28.93.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 1.80 to $1,946.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.29% or 0.23 to hit $79.12 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.20 to trade at $83.41 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.41% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 103.81.
