Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the lost 0.36%, while the index declined 0.24%.

The best performers of the session on the were Bouygues SA (PA:), which rose 1.58% or 0.60 points to trade at 38.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (PA:) added 1.41% or 1.55 points to end at 111.55 and Thales (PA:) was up 1.13% or 1.12 points to 99.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (PA:), which fell 2.12% or 9.30 points to trade at 429.75 at the close. Accor SA (PA:) declined 2.04% or 0.82 points to end at 39.38 and Kering SA (PA:) was down 1.84% or 11.20 points to 599.00.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were GTT (PA:) which rose 7.81% to 100.80, Biomerieux SA (PA:) which was up 5.03% to settle at 87.70 and Tarkett (PA:) which gained 3.34% to close at 13.91.

The worst performers were Air France KLM SA (PA:) which was down 4.63% to 9.438 in late trade, Trigano SA (PA:) which lost 2.72% to settle at 89.50 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (PA:) which was down 2.12% to 429.75 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 292 to 276 and 99 ended unchanged.

Shares in GTT (PA:) rose to all time highs; rising 7.81% or 7.30 to 100.80. Shares in Biomerieux SA (PA:) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.03% or 4.20 to 87.70.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 3.52% to 11.48.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1560.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.22% or 0.13 to hit $58.71 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.54% or 0.35 to trade at $65.20 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1083, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8526.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 97.430.
