France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.14%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.14%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.72%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 3.34% or 2.10 points to trade at 65.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (PA:SOGN) added 3.78% or 0.66 points to end at 18.06 and Worldline SA (PA:WLN) was up 2.65% or 1.98 points to 76.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Air Liquide SA (PA:AIRP), which fell 1.78% or 2.45 points to trade at 135.05 at the close. Stellantis NV (PA:STLA) declined 1.35% or 0.18 points to end at 13.29 and STMicroelectronics NV (PA:STM) was down 1.79% or 0.62 points to 33.95.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Natixis (PA:CNAT) which rose 7.76% to 3.99, Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which was up 4.73% to settle at 19.49 and Eramet SA (PA:ERMT) which gained 5.04% to close at 51.46.

The worst performers were Ubisoft Entertainment (PA:UBIP) which was down 8.00% to 77.02 in late trade, Compagnie Plastic Omnium SE (PA:PLOF) which lost 2.30% to settle at 32.34 and Coface (PA:COFA) which was down 1.48% to 8.67 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 315 to 271 and 83 ended unchanged.

Shares in Eramet SA (PA:ERMT) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.04% or 2.47 to 51.46.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.23% or 4.30 to $1841.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.57% or 0.33 to hit $58.69 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.42% or 0.26 to trade at $61.48 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.2130, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8761.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 90.347.
