France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.32%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.32% to hit a new 6-months high, while the SBF 120 index added 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP), which rose 2.17% or 2.96 points to trade at 139.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) added 1.88% or 0.83 points to end at 44.97 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was up 1.61% or 23.50 points to 1,487.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 2.42% or 5.20 points to trade at 209.30 at the close. Stellantis NV (EPA:STLA) declined 1.40% or 0.21 points to end at 14.48 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was down 0.83% or 0.72 points to 86.55.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which rose 8.32% to 2.58, Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was up 4.97% to settle at 78.10 and Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which gained 2.39% to close at 160.95.

The worst performers were Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which was down 3.98% to 10.49 in late trade, Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which lost 3.08% to settle at 22.04 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 2.42% to 209.30 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 300 to 241 and 85 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.25% or 4.35 to $1,744.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 4.20% or 3.40 to hit $77.55 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 4.01% or 3.54 to trade at $84.82 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 106.34.
